The Medication Safety Boot Camp is designed for new professionals and will introduce pharmacists to the common problems and solutions in the field. This session will be held in addition to the full conference on September 20 and 21; a link to register for the conference is below. To register for boot camp, please scroll down to the green register button. The cost to attend is $30, which includes dinner. Pharmacists can earn a maximum of 4.00 hours of CPE credit for participation in this activity.
This boot camp will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. This page will be updated with additional information, including classroom information, as the date approaches.

This is accredited as a knowledge-based CPE activity.
This will be a 4 hour live lecture in a conference facility that will include didactics, interactive session, interdisciplinary team-based activities, and a question and answer panel. These strategies were selected to fit the audience needs, the time allotted, and the topics covered. Much of the interactive session will be based on utilizing the skills that were taught during the didactic portion.
Objectives
- Describe the medication use process.
- Discuss how various pharmacist roles, including those within national organizations, impact medication and patient safety.
- Define the various terminology used within medication safety.
- Recognize the importance of reporting medication incidents.
- Describe how to report medication incidents and adverse drug reactions during daily practice.
